The Dream.
New Way STRTP formally New Way Group Home began with a dream to help underserved and underprivileged Ventura County youth’s find a home-like environment in which their emotional and behavioral barriers could be addressed. This while believing that “Change Happens” for the youth and the Staff that works with them.

The Transformation.
In 2016 New Way Group Home began its transformation into “New Way Short-Term Residential Treatment Program”. By honing in on what was working well as a group home, New Way began the path towards incorporating STRTP regulations all while enhancing & creating a new Mental Health Program.

The Now.
Since the beginning of the implementation of the STRTP process New Way has morphed the way it provides services to youth in care, trains its Child Care Counselors and how it delivers high-quality, individualized, trauma-informed therapeutic modalities.

New Way Short-Term Residential Treatment Program is located within the City of Oxnard in Ventura County. With only 5 driving minutes to the beach, fishing or boating our location offers many local activities for youth in care. Additional activities in our area include: hiking, outdoor activities, skateparks, gaming studios, the Oxnard Collection, Camarillo Outlets, Pacific View Mall, and many movie theaters within the area from 5 to 15 minutes away.
Oxnard is a seaside city west of Los Angeles, in California. Its central Carnegie Art Museum displays contemporary California art in a former library, built in 1906. Nearby, early-1900s homes dot Heritage Square. On the Pacific Coast, Oxnard Beach Park has a wide, sandy shoreline and a grassy lawns, with picnic tables and views of Channel Islands National Park and the Channel Islands National Marine Sanctuary.
